I need to get real about our finances

what is a good book. a how to book. as in how to have/manage and eventually save money.

i feel so fiscally imature we need a good plan to get out of and stay out of cc debt, and replace the emergency cc transactions with saved funds!

it's a pipe dream I know

I can send you a copy of a Dave Ramsey book, if you'd like. He's pretty extreme if you read him that way, but a lot of us here take what we need from his books and modify the rest to suit our needs. I don't think we have any extremists in this forum, but we do have a lot of fans of his ideas.

pm me your address if you want it.

Definitely read The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. It's a very easy read. Maybe it was because it totally made sense.

Dave Ramsey. I also like Suze Ormon, that's what got me to clip my cc.

It has taken me two years to pay off the credit and plan ahead so we have money saved and we don't need the credit cards. Give yourself some time to work into it. Step by step. Each step counts.
