Meatballs?

I want to make meatballs for tomorrows dinner, but I forgot we are out of bread crumbs. Any idea's on how i can supplement.
Usually I use meat, eggs, parm cheese, bread crumbs, onions & garlic, and sometimes rice. I just want to make sure they don't fall apart.

We have:

Flour
Oatmeal
French fried onions
Bread
Rice
Stuffing

Any idea's?

TIA

I usually just use what I have laying around. One of my favorites is using oatmeal. Do you have oatmeal?

Otherwise, I always save broken bits of various chips and crackers and crush them up and throw them in.

Have bread? Toast it and crumble/crush it - bread crumbs. Like the other suggestions too.

Sounds perfect! I've seen lots of recipes that use cracker crumbs. Plus, you're using something up and rotating your cupboards. Good job.

I use oatmeal. My recipe also says you can use cooked brown rice.

my fave way to make super cheap bread crumbs-

saltine crackers, 2 sleeves at least
Italian seasoning
garlic powder

using a food processor, add 1 sleeve at a time til its half full. add at least a teaspoon Italian seasoning and about 1/2 tsp garlic powder unles you all love garlic. run thorugh til you have desired consistency.

If you have it, store these in a large shaker container (like bulk spices come in).

you could use most any crackers I would think.
