Thumbs up MORE storage solutions.

I'm taking vertical space seriously here. We're hanging a lot of shelving. I don't know what took me so long.

Here is what it looked like for the first 2 years we were here:

Then, it became this (the curtains hiding all the crap!)

Last year, I finally did this cubby and got rid of the junk! I also finally added handles.

Finally, this weekend, I'd extended the cubby storage down the left side. It was just wasted space before:

Another view:

This shelving costs approximately $25 or less to do in each space. It's not fancy, but I love how it looks with bins.

Thanks! The bad news is that I had to remove my sewing table. I moved it to ds's room for a drawing table.

My machines are easy to get to in that cabinet though.

The bins are perfect for my knitting, schoolwork in progress, and mailing supplies. I also have all the crayons, markers, and art supplies in separate jars in the light green bins. It makes them much neater and tidier.

I am determined not to outgrow my house with 6 people in it.

I will have to talk to you a bit, because I am doing the same thing with my little house and the 5 people in it. Use every space possible! lol... I will be taking pointers from you in the next year or so I am sure!

About 2 years ago a friend of me gave me a copy with the family of 5 living in 1200sq feet. Since then, I've been inspired to do the same. It's not so much the small space as it is making 100% of what space you have yk?

I also love Juliebelle's suggestions and the book The Not So Big House.

I need to post pics of this place so you all can come up with something fabulous for me to do about storage. There are NO linen cupboards or anything in this house!
