MegaHaul!! WOOT!

I have never used that internet term, but I figure if anything diserves a little "woot", this does.

So I went to McGreggors (Sarah and I have both mentioned this place before, it is our natural product and organic food bump and scratch store) and seriously made out like a bandit! Here is a list of my haul:

Snikiddy Pizzapie Puff adventure packs (5 snack packs) 2/$1 (got 2, they are suprisingly good!)

Earth Time organic brown rice baby cereal $1/box (got 2)

Healthy time organic Oatmeal baby cereal $1/box (got 2)

various organic baby foods that I can't make at home (mainly corn, pears, etc... things we don't normally have in the house. I personally don't do baby food except for the cereals, but this was too good of a deal to pass up) 2/$1 (got 16)

16oz bottles of Villa Flor Organic olive oil $3/bottle (got 2)

Barbra's Crispy Wheat Cereal (like Chex) 4/$1 (got 2)

Organic fruit sweetened gummie bears $1/peice (got 4)

12 oz of Gomasio $1/bottle (got 1)

Whole Treat (and Whole Foods brand, although we don't have a Whole Foods anywhere around here) Belgian Chocolates $1/lg box (got 2)

Luna "Nuts Over Chocolate" Bars $7/case (got 2)

Back to Nature organic Mac and Cheese 4/$1 (got 8)

Paul Newman Arrowroot ABC Cookies $2 (got 1)

And the main attraction!!! Organic Smooshed Fruit fruit leathers 4/$1 per box (I got 16 boxes)

Total came to: $41.50

Then I went over to Trader Joe's and found:

Organic Strawberry Jelly for $3 (last one too...)

Oragnic Pasta was all on sale for $.69 a peice so I got 4 penne, 2 linguine, and 2 spaghetti.

Oragnic Beans for $89 a can. Got 6 black beans, and 2 kidney beans.

24oz of Maple Syrup $8.99

Organic tomato soup was $2.49 a peice but I still got two becuase we love it. lol...

Total came to: $27

And then I got entered in a drawing for bringing my own bags.

Soon after I went to Costco and took my coupon book and got dipes and wipes with a $10 off coupon, got two blocks of Tillamok cheese (pepper jack, and sharp chedder) for $5 a peice for a baby loaf, then went to the meat section to find ORGANIC beef for $4 a lb! Got 3#s and am thrilled about it! We had some for tacos the other day and it was wonderful!

Then yesterday I went to Goodwill.

I went with $20 and wasn't going to spend anymore than that... and I found these:

Completely hand sewn, it kinda hurt that it was there actually... although I am thrilled that I got it for $7. But being a quilter I know how much goes into these things... and it was just sad that anyone would let go of this and not save it for their kids... but! Check out the stitching:

And then I found these along with it:

an Ikea pillow case for $.99 and another blue quilt (with red in it although you can't see it very well here) for $2.99.

I replaced Cyan's Boggle Jr game cubes for $.55 and then came home... happy and tired but THRILLED about the haul I picked up that day. Omgoodness..... Oh and my CSA box was stuffed TO THE BRIM with amazing fruits and veggies this week. It was wonderful...

I feel so rich and bountiful right now. We put extra towards the debt, we paid off all our medical co pays, and we got all this wonderful food and arn't even stretched quite yet. How effing cool is that!!!!

Love you all,

a very happy Val

Yep, it is Kerah I took a bunch of pictures of her in my garden yesterday when we got home. The tomatoes are doing really good, especially since Sarah showed me how to prune them

I am over that, I have been out of olive oil for a couple of weeks but haven't bought more because I refuse to pay over $4/bottle for the cheap stuff!

What a score!

I so miss those opportunities here...you will never find anything like that in a thrift store here...people just SAVE stuff in their massive barns for hundreds of years. But I still have my gorgeous 70s polyester leisure suit quilt from Value Village in Olympia. And man, I wish our scratch and bump was remotely like that...I get Fruitabu for $1 each box, and Peet's coffee for $3 a bag, but nothing like that!

I just bought 2 boxes of that FruitaBu for 2 for $5 on sale here. They are normally like 3.25 a box. I am jealous!

I just pm'ed you.

I love that store. There are not always deals like this... sometimes it is just a few small good deals, but other times...

That first quilt makes me sad that it was donated but I'm glad it's gone to a loving home. Great finds at the food store. I'd love to get the mac and cheese and fruitabu that cheaply here.
