Last fall I said we were going to debt snowball and be out of cc debt in a year. Well, we have made a debt but there is no way it is going to happen in the time I have alotted. With summer being crazy and all the extra exp. with funerals, travelling, and just being busy we just haven't put as much towards cc as we should.

So, I made up a new plan to get us out of cc debt in one year. I did not take into account dh's 2 months that have three pays in them (they are like extra checks for us other than grocery and gasoline that comes from them). I will also be putting 50% of my HC sales towards our snowball as well. It will be tight but we should be able to do it and if I am strict enough to use those extra pays I will actually be able to do it in 9 months. We have been able to put all the debt on 0% interest cards for 1 year so that will be helpful as well.

I need to do this. The stress of having CC debt is really getting to me and it is just peeving me off that so much of our monthly income has to go to paying off stupid debt. I don't mind paying down the HEL or the Van but having to put all that money towards CC's is just driving me batty since most of it is stupid debt. After the cc's are paid off we will focus the next year on the HEL, and then 6 months after that on the van. So, within 2.5 years at the most we should be down to just a mortgage at 6% and student loans that are at 3%. I can't wait for that day.

That's fantastic! We are now at the point where our consumer debt is gone and are just hitting the van with an extra $50-$100 every time we find it in the budget. It is such a great feeling to see that amount owing go down. Same with our mortgage, we pay about an extra $100 a month on it which really does make a big difference. You will totally be there soon!
