Cold and rainy summer day... what to do?

I am thinking I need to bake on this cold day. Perhaps a roast? But they are all frozen solid... perhaps if it is still like this tomorrow. Maybe I will make bread? Hmmm... what would you do with a 60* day right about now?

wow! I wish it was cool here!!!

My fav on a rainy day is bread freshly baked and delicious. I also love a yummy cake for dessert. Baked goods all the way! I would take a roast out to defrost for tomorrow if it looks like it will do the same tomorrow. Do you have stuff to make soup? That is a good cool/wet day kind of thing!

LOL...we are flipped, weather-wise. It is 80 and sunny here today, but it's following weeks of being in the 60s and rainy...it was like we were channeling classic spring Olympia weather!

We have been watching lots of movies, playing board games, and snuggling in bed for late-afternoon siestas. As well as baking (which sounds sooo good right now). But today! Today we're going to the lake to swim and soak in the sun. After I get my work done, that is.

Well we would be jumping for joy, since it is in the high 90's here with lots of humidity!

But when it is cool and rainy here then we let the boys go out and splash in puddles. Then when they come in cold and wet, we dry off and have an afternoon snack of hot chocolate and homemaid cookies. Then we snuggle for some reading time or movies.

OOoooooooo... all of that sounds great. Right now I am making tomato soup for lunch, and planning on rising some bread while I sew and watch movies this afternoon. Alex and Cyan are going to rest, and Logan is already down. Then we will probobly curl up with a good flick later this afternoon and make some popcorn while eating fresh baked bread. I need to check the weather tomorrow... roast sounds great!

Looks like three + days of cold rainy weather... all 73* or under. Wow... although this isn't totally unusual for WA, it isn't normal either... but I am SO glad I did my gardening last night!! SO glad! Now it is all ready for planting in the warm rains. How perfect! I'll have to add that to my list of to do's while the kids are in bed if the rain lets up.
