eye roll Slowly but surely I am coming to the simple part of my summer...

The begining of summer is one huge rush, this year being FAR worse than most. With Logan crawling, and getting the two teeth he now proudly sports, plus Don's academy graduation, his birthday party, Cyan's kindergarten graduation, Alex and Cyan's birthday party, Don's parents coming up for vacation... well it hasn't been any sort of relaxing. And of course, on top of all this, I have decided to go through the whole house, which, in the end, will make everything easier... but for now, I am stuck in busy lady hell, and so ready to be done with all the business!

On Thrusday of this week, Alex goes to MI for 6 wks to visit his dad and his paternal grandparents... and things get pretty slow. Not unbusy, just unscheduled. With Logan getting faster by the day, it is hard to have any time to complete a thought, much less a project, but things are getting done... and it will get a bit easier with one less child to cart around and think of (even if he is the most help at the same time).

I am not sure why I am posting this, except that I feel overwhelmed, tired, and ready to relax a bit... as soon as I do these last 25 things. lol... But it will come. I cleaned out the garden beds that needed it tonight, double coated the rocks that were painted at the party, and weeded the rest of the garden. I also had some kid come over and remove the two stumps, and that was great because I can finally finish the landscaping... That will be nice.

Wait... I was going to relax. Oh well... life is getting simpler... not less busy. lol...

Ohhh! I know what you mean! My veggies are finally getting close to the "auto-pilot" mode. Just water and pick. I am glad... I haven't had a chance to even plug my sewing machine in about 4 months. Boo Hoo! and here comes canning season!

I am coasting for a week or two as well. Of course that means working (writing), and weeding, and staking the tomatoes, and getting our easy set pool up (ha, I know it's laughably late, but we haven't even had summer weather!). Decluttering, cleaning, and getting a few other big projects done. But, it feels good to be here now.

whoo hoo, maybe that means you'll be up for a playdate!

Eric will have a week off and we'll be spending that time together, but he starts work the first Monday in August, and I'd love to meet people then.
