So what do you think they are trying to sell?

I got a postcard in the mail today. The return address is from "Digital Impressions" in Mississippi. I am invited to receive a free dinner at a local restuarant and learn how to reduce my energy bills by 55%. The small print says husbands and wives must attend together and you must be a homeowner. So I know it's a sales pitch, but I can't figure out what they are selling. I'm not going to go, but curiousity is killing me - what do you think it could be? Solar panels? Florescent lights? Little cows whose manure you turn into electricity?

i think digital impressions is just a company that does direct mailings-- I MAY be wrong about that, but it seems like I have seen it before?

My guess is they want to sell your children so you afford vinal siding.

Windows are a good guess too.

Robin, I tossed the postcard, and I don't remember the city. Vinyl siding and windows are good ideas. My parents get these type of things in the mail all the time asking them to attend a "retirement seminar," but this is the first time something like this has showed up in my mailbox.

I was just curious because I have lived in many areas of MS and I thought I might be able to find out if I knew the city. I agree that offering you dinner must mean it's expensive. It might be the new beachfront condos they are building in place of the houses lost to Katrina. Or golf course homes...that's big on the coast.
