Wish me self control...

I am going to the garden center for the first time this year. Wish me control... lots of selfcontrol.

you rock! I went to Pike's over the weekend for some rooting powder, and came home with just the rooting powder. That was a triumph, truly.

I spent $10 on some pansies and lavendar. And my Mum paid for them when I went to check out! LOL. I tried to hand her cash and she didn't want it. So I guess I really didn't spend anything. Woohoo.

I did end up going back and spending $23 on pig fencing and 5' stakes for my rasberries... But I didn't buy a single plant, or peice I didn't need. So I still count that as a win because my purchase was so mapped out.

I wanted to have the garden all cleaned out for the big Easter party I am throwing. That is the only thing I really NEEDED aside from weeding and cleaning. So that was all I got. I am proud of me.

Another frugal garden victory, I put in some rhubarb that I dug up from a friend's rhubarb patch. Woohoo! Free plants are the best kind. And I'm going to get some violets next time I'm there. Violets are my favourite, so sweet and dainty and fragrant. And good groundcover if you let it go wild. LOL. Just reminds me of my childhood. It's funny because I do find myself planting things my Mum and Nana had in their gardens. Familiarity I guess.
