Goals and dreams...

#1: What have you had to come up with to adjust the finaincial goal plan to fit for you and your partners life goals?

#2: Do you ever believe in 'good' credit usage (not 'necessary' but "good")?

#3: If so, what does that look like for you?

#4: If you were to plan on working for the next 25 years even if you reached your financial goals, what would you do?

#5: Where would you put the money?

#6: and would you still have some credit? Why?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have discovered that our goals are different than most peoples. With me loving to be at home and saving money left and right via the things I do here, and Don really enjoing his career, we don't want that to change. So the motivation to "do less" and "work less" just don't really work with us at this point in our lives. So we have had to develop new goals and things that fit within our life goals as well as our financial goals, and these things do look differnet from the "save all you can and use what you have" way of thinking I have become so used to. And this adjustment has been a big one in my head. And I was wondering if anyone else has gon ethrough that same process... tia!
We've cut back to bare minimums. Bills that must be paid (debt), housing, food, transportation, car insurance and basic phone service (no l/d), utilities. ATM, very basic dial-up internet and only because we have a biz, otherwise we wouldn't have it right now.
No, I think credit is a terrible thing. It's a hole that is difficult to get out from. It's really sad.
#3: If so, what does that look like for you?
Use my degree for... something. LOL Do something worthwhile that feels good. I plan to do that anyway, regardless of money.
#5: Where would you put the money?
Savings, my kids, an off-the-grid house. I doubt I'll ever have so much money that I don't know what to do with it.
#6: and would you still have some credit? Why?
No. Why do you need credit if you have a good savings account?
