Do you have a shredder? Will a cheap one last?

I'm finally ready to go through the office (yay for quitting my day job, it was too much...I'm quitting tomorrow). I have a lot of things I need to shred or tear up. I also get tons of credit card solicitations in the mail. And recently I had a fradulent charge on a credit card. We have a lot of paper come into the house; I really can't figure out why.

I saw a cheap shredder on clearance at Staples for $35. I wonder if it will just burn out?

I hate spending money on something like this. Yet I feel it would really simplify things in the office and I'd be less likely to hold onto papers I don't really need.

How do you handle this? Do you have a shredder?

yes

we have a shredder, and dh loves it LOL

we got it on sale for 1/2 price on boxing day at office depot. it seems really good and can even shred credit cards. ours turns off automatically if it gets overworked, and then is ready to go again in about 5 minutes.
