okay, I am a bad mama

I find myself giving my twins junk food to keep them quiet so I can get things done. I hate doing this but sometimes I am desperate. Does anyone have any healthy alternatives that I can grab in a hurry. A friend once told me about biter biscuits you can make with juice and cereal. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!!

I happen to be lurking in this forum...only have 1 single child so feel free to ignore me

however, you might want to cross-post this on the market board, it gets more traffic and you'll get some good ideas

as for my ideas on healthy snacks (not sure how old your little ones are) but cut up fruit in little baggies ready to go, granola bars (kashi makes yummy ones), plain cereal (organic cherrios type stuff), cut up some cheese and keep ready with crackers

what kind of snacks are you feeding them now?

They just turned 1. I will have to try to keep some prepared things in the frig. right now they get some cheap, non-nutrional craker cookei things, smarties candies (when I am really desperate), chips and whatever sweet tooth type item I can get for cheap. At home it is easier to give them the dry cereal and cheese but I forget to take things sometimes....okay alot of times when I am in a hurry. I can't realy buy the expensive prepackaged things but I can make some if you have any recipes. Thanks.

can you keep some healthier options in the car? maybe like dried fruit or some baggies of cereal. Something that won't spoil in the car....that way when you have a hunger emergency you have something close by

Or, you could also just stock stuff in your diaper bag the night before, just like you would with diapers or a change of clothes...
