Did you *know* you were having twins before you offically found out?

I am a bit nervous because I have this *feeling*. Sadly, my OB appt. just got pushed back another two weeks because my midwife had to leave town. Maybe I am mistaken, but I just wondered if you had signs or inclinations that led you to know you were having more than one before you actually knew....
Thanks,

Hi!

I didn't realize that I knew, but retrospectively, I knew. I kept praying for two healthy babies; that THEY should be healthy. Even still, when I went in for my ultrasound at 6 wks (due to a previous complication), I was shocked -I couldn't believe it was real.

Good luck to you.

well, I've *Known* I was having twins... and I never have. I was so disappointed at the u/s. Of course, I come into that with the bias of wanting twins.

I knew retrospectively, too. These twins are my second pregnancy, and for them my first trimester symptoms arrived SO early and were SO strong--just crazy hunger, thirst, and fatigue. When we had our ultrasound, there was a definite feeling of "Oh, so THAT'S why I've been feeling this way!" But we were mostly shocked. I don't know why the possiblility hadn't occured to us, but it hadn't!

I hope you get the answer you want at your next appointment! Waiting is the worst!

This is an interesting question. Why? Since I am sick for the first time after having 3 prior non-sick pregnancies my dh says "so does this mean we're having twins?" And he has been joking with me that my next pregnancy will be tripletts, this was months ago and we were not planning on getting pregnant until after the summer -- surprise, surprise.
So, now I'm wondering and thinking... My sister said the same thing as did my own mother.
I use a DEM so, unless she detects 2 heartbeats, I won't know for some time. My appt isn't until August and I'll be around 14wks.
2 would be cool, but very challenging...

Beleive it or not my FIL and MIL knew we were and new it was b/g twins. While DH and I were absolutely floored when we found out it was twins (7weeks due to problems with previous pg) when we called FIL and MIL they were like "oh we already knew that). I don't remember having any worse symptoms with the twins than I did with Angel. At least not till much later.
