What do you think about the new "skinny" style jean?

It makes me think too much of the 80's (I've BTDT) and I think it is just very unflattering to my figure. Plus, I am a short mama and I think it would just make me look even shorter.

You mean the old skinny jean style. I actually tried on a pair the other day and had a flashback to about 15 years ago when I had to peel my pants off my calves everyday. I hope that manufacturers realize, some of us will NEVER again wear skinny jeans, and continue making all styles. I think people finally realize that different styles suite different bodies.

I think they're cute ... but there is no way my fatass would fit into a pair now.

Yes! Thank you, different styles for different bodies is so true. Have you seen them paired with PUMPS!!!! I said it, pumps! I saw a young girl the other day w/ skinny jeans, black pumps, a "flash dance" style off the shoulder shirt w/ a tank top being revealed under by one shoulder.

I really think that some styles should just stay in the past...I swear of all the decades of fashon, the 80's was the worst...I was a little kid and even then I thought that it was ugly. I much prefer the late 60's/70's style...but I have always thought that I was born 30 years too late...(sigh)

*lol* I remember how we used to "pinch roll" the bottoms of our jeans, like fold them over and roll them up nice and tight. Oh, the horror!!

Lawd..It's funny..I'm a child of the 70s and I was utterly appalled when they started redoing those fashions which I thought were horrible then and the low waisted jeans makes butts look funny IMO...now they are trying to make us fat girls feel bad by not being flashdance ready arrrrgh. OK PEOPLE...try something new..the fashions of the 70s and 80s were AWFUL. Ok..the 60s too. LOL.

How about nicely fitting jeans and flattering shirts for everyone...

I'm really kind of sick of skinny unrealistic people...can you tell???
