I don't and you know why...I don't know how to pick the right colors/tones. Like foundation, which my face really could use right now, or maybe it's concealer....how do I know which color will work? I remember in high school picking what I thought would be the right color only to look like Powder or like I used to much self tanner, but it would be too late cause I opened it up and tried a bit.
Nope, don't wear the stuff anymore. I use to wear it all the time, but my dh said he prefers me without it.

I don't often, but when I do I try to stick to looking pretty natural. Maybe some powder to get rid of shine, blush, a little eye liner and mascara and some lip gloss.

I wear it every day, no matter what! I don't wear powder or concealer or foundation, though, so I can't help you. I wear blush, lipstick, and mascara - sometimes eye shadow. It takes me about 3 minutes to put it on and I love the look!

I used to wear make up daily (I was a Mary Kay lady, I would have looked pretty silly if I didn't!) I would suggest that you find a MK consultant in your area, she will help you find the right shades for your face and if you don't like them, even if you have used them, they are returnable/exchangable.

I used to wear it everyday...then after ds it turned into whenever I feel like it. If I stay home all day...then no. If I am going out somewhere, usually, but not alot.
I do...or at least I try. After my run, I take a shower, put on nice clothes and makeup. I think looking nice, helps to feel nice. Plus, it goes with my idea that I always want to be ready for unexpected guests. I used to be really bad about letting things/myself go but over the last year, I've made some huge changes in that regard and *I* feel better.
I use BE. It's easy...just the basic powder...whatever that is, LOL. The blush stuff...forget what it's called, Warmth? Too lazy to get up . Some eyeliner and mascara. THere's an Alta store in town and they sell BE so I have 2 different shades I wear, depending on how much sun I've gotten. They have fliers with 20% coupons too!

I do on most days, sometimes it's too much effort.
As for colors and such...go to a make-up counter at a department store and try several things. Also, places like Rite Aid and Walgreens have refund policies if you don't like a color you buy after you try it (I'm not sure which stores do, so check first).
You could also treat yourself to a make-over with an esthetician and get a facial at the same time! Sounds good for a pregnant mommy of three!

I never wear any ever.
if you have a sephora near you they will give samples of whatever you want usually. that way you could try stuff before you buy it.

I agree completely! I get nicely dressed and do my hair and makeup before I leave to take Emma to preschool. I love that I feel ready for anything. If my sister calls while I'm in the car, I can just meet her at Starbucks. Or, if I decide to run to the mall, I'm all set. And I'm not afraid of someone stopping by.
I know it's different for everyone and I certainly am not implying that those who do not wear makeup are not attractive or anything! It's just something that's important to me!

No, I don't. I wore it for years, first because that is what is culturally appropriate in our country and especially for teens, then because is was pretty much expected in the banking industry.
Well, I hate that women are told that they look nicer, more beautiful, etc. with makeup. I especially hate that girls and teens get this message. What is wrong with looking natural? Why is there one standard of beauty to uphold (big eyes, pouty lips, rosy cheeks, dark, long, thick eyelashes)? You can argue that colors change from season to season, but pale thin eyelashes and thin lips are pretty much never "in".
I last wore makeup a year ago, to my brother's wedding. I look at the pictures, and I don't look like me. I leave for Maui Friday and I'm not taking any makeup with me.

I understand what you are saying, but I think that sometimes there is a double standard. What do you think of tattoos? or piercings? or hair color (whether a natural color or not)? I don't see it as any different. For some reason, many people who make the argument you are making seem to think that those other things are just fine, even beautiful, liberating, etc. Why the difference?
KimberMama - I don't know your take on tattoos and such, so I do not mean to put words in your mouth!
I do every day, well sometimes on the weekend if we're staying in I might not.
I just don't feel comfortable without it other than around the house. Plus I just enjoy wearing it.
Rite Aid and Ulta will both take back opened makeup with a receipt. I'm pretty sure Sephora will too, and that most higher end tables in Macy's and such will too. (I'm not 100% positive about them taking back opened ones though.) If I'm trying something new I always buy it at Rite Aid or Ulta so I can take it back if it doesn't work for me.
