a silly little hair poll. If you have wavy hair do you....

wear it straight, curly or wavy? or do you switch depending on time/mood/occasion?

I have thick wavy hair. I have always preferred it straight so have blowdried. When I worked I blowdried and even as a sahm i'd blowdry it out and shower without washing my hair the next day or two even (hairdresser said to do this).
I loved it straight. BUt it sure does take time.
So when I got this new haircut it was a blowdry AND hot iron straighten job. And I liked it for the jazz concert, going out, looking funky. But I don't have time doing homedaycare so usually its just kinda punky on top (short layers) and wavy/curly on bottom. I've been using some leave in gel to make it stay wavy/curlier and people have been telling me it looks cuter ... "softer" on me then the straight look.

Anyway, it got me thinking I wonder what you all do

so here is my silly little poll of the day

I wish I could have hair that straightened, even just for a day! Heck, I'd just love to see what it's like to have hair you can *brush*!

You're lucky to be able to wear it all sorts of ways. I could never make mine be anything but a 'fro. *lol*

ETA, I like your hair looking a little softer, not ironed out. It flatters your face, IMO, with a little wave to it.

Depends on my mood, degree of lazy, and what's going on. Although lately Adam has found it intriguing, so it's back most of the time in a tail or a Flexi.

I finally have a cut that I love and I usually blow it out straight but there are days that I know nothing is going on and I'll give both my hair and me a break. I like to wash it every day but sometimes will go a day in between without washing it.

My hair used to be wavy but now the back and underneith is getting downright curly! the front sections on the side of my head are still just wavy, though.

up intil about 2 mths ago I always wore it naturally. I have super curly hair. Now more days then not I am staight ironing it. It takes a lot of work but I have needed a change. I also got some really cool red highlights and it looks so much better with straight hair.

My hair is somewhere between wavy and curly depending on what I do with it when it's wet. If I put it up when it's wet it dries just wavy. If I let it air dry with some humectant pomade it will be curlier...moreso if I scrunch and blow dry since it's to my waist (the weight of it pulls some of the curl out)

mine is too short to pull up, but i'm letting it grow back in so i can. mine is thick and wavy/curly except for the top that is straighter. so the top is flat looking and then the bottom looks all gross. i either blow dry it out or put some gel in if i'm going to leave it curly, keeps it a little tamer.

I have wavy hair and I don't own a hairdryer. I never blowdry it. I brush it, then wash it, then towel dry it, they run my fingers through it and let it dry. I only wash it about 2 times a week.

I like to use a flat iron, once mine is dry. In a pinch I'll blow dry then use the flat iron, but I don't like to do that too much. If I'm going nowhere, I'll either blowdry or let it dry naturally. I was using a curling/blow brush for quite a while there but it makes my hair *fuzzy*. My bangs are growing out again so I have issues with them right now...they do all sorts of funny things.

The longer mine gets, the curlier it gets. Most of the time, I wash daily, add a teeny bit of gel, and it dries looking okay. If I blow-dry it, it gets much curlier and puffier. If I try to straighten it, it just goes all frizzy and curls back up as soon as I go outside in this thick South Carolina humidity. My biggest problem is that I can't find anyone who can cut it to look nice, nor can I find a style that works well with curly hair, is easy to maintain, and someone around here can actually do........
