Plus-sized mama - help me pick out a dress

my mama said i could pick out a nice dress, that she would pay for

so i thought it would be fun to look at them and hear comments on different dress styles (kind of like shopping with your girlfriends, except - well - i dont do that normally lol)

so first of all: here is the site
http://www.igigi.com/page/100/CTGY/dresses_all_3

a wrap dress:

the samantha dress:

the flamenco dress:

and the screen siren dress:

and this is me (well it was taken back at the beginning of the summer, i have about 5 extra pounds of weight and about 5 more inches of hair on me - not the best picture but one of the only full-length ones i have of me lol)

I like the flamenco one, but then I'm personally in desperate need of either this

or this

I love love the first one you posted, the wrap dress. There's nothing better than a deep v-neck to bring out our ahem best features.

Oh, I like the first one. Not so sure about the second. I don't really care for short sleeve, I look better sleeveless, with the full drapey kind, or with a 3/4 sleeve. I'd also worry about the design of the red making me look even bustier than I am lol. I'm in love with half the things on the site that had the dress I posted http://www.zaftique.com/ They've got loads of gorgeous and very classy velvet tie-dye blouses that I'm drooling over. But, back to you rofl.

Do you have the boots to go with the wrap dress? 'Cause I don't think it'd be half as cool without the boots And I like the screen siren one too, but it needs the right occassion to wear it to, its not nearly as versital as the others.

snort.

bran, you just have a way with words. truly.

oh and my vote is for the wrap dress. you can funk it up if you need or calm it down...very versatile. and i agree about the v-neck and um, assets. i think it would be rather nice on you.

i love the wrap or the first on hastings posted. the wrap is cool because you can funk it up or tame it down depending on shoes and accessories. the one hastings posted tould look SO cool with a little dyed streak of hair to match.

Yep, what she said.

I think the wrap dress would be awesome, I personally don't care for any of the others though, so I may not have much of the same style you do.

exactly...my style tends to be funky conservative (is that a style?) but i can TOTALLY see several of those on bran...she has the personal style to carry them off nicely...but i still say the wrap dress would be the most useful bc it's just, well, versatile, yk? i'm curious now to see which she chose (i would be surprised if she got the wrap, lol)

and given that she often has red stripes in her hair...well...lol.

I like the wrap dress! Wraps are tres flattering, and it's very very versatile, v-necks are the best . I think you'd look great in it! Will you post a pic when it comes!?
