i washed clothes today and most of len's onsies either have bm stains or specks of blood from his belly button... i washed them on cold and skipped the dryer, is there hope?

if you catch them when they are fresh, you can use hydrogen peroxide for the blood stains.

bm stains? LOL, dunno. I just tossed whatever it was whenever baby outgrew it.

Well.I have not had any stains on clothes from either-I use Bio-Kleen laundry detergent-you can get it in a Health Food store.

What I do when I am worried something might stain-or I am on a trip and don't have my own washing set up..
I just put a stainless bowl out(or tupperware) and put the clothes in it with water and liquid soap (Dr Bronnners)or soap flakes and let it soak until I do a load of wash. I am sure that liquid dish soap would work as well.

Sunning clothes also works. If there is a blood or poop stain-just hang it inthe sun after you wash it-should come right out. that even works for me if it has gone through the dryer.(like with diapers)

This might sound nuts, but it works..years of doing diaper laundry for BF kids

Put the onesies with the bm stains in the sun..the sun will bleach the stain out.

The other thing that works great for most stains is Fels Naptha Soap and Borax. You can find it in the laundry aisle. I get the item wet, then rub the bar soap all over the stain. Then sprinkle a little Borax over it and rub it in. Wash as usual. My sister swears by this and now I've started using it. I've been getting out some really old stains this way. There are some that just won't come out, but I imagine blood and bm poopies will get out, especially if you couple it with some sun exposure!
