Angry Lipstick on carpet? HELP!

My dd somehow stepped on a full tube of reddish pick lipstick.

And walked on three rooms of light beige and light blue carpet (not to mention the hardwood and linoleum) before anyone noticed.

I am just sitting here because I cannot face it.

Any hints? I've got some carpet cleaner which is doing a great job of making dark magenta spots into large fuchia spots.

I guess I will rent a carpet cleaner tomorrow.

This is making me insane. It's not her fault, but I really need to blame SOMEBODY. Maybe dh......

I've used spray & wash on my carpet many a time to get out stains- coffee, dirt, wine...

Don't know how it will work on lipstick... but it's worth a try if you have some in your laundry room.

Go straight to a commercial cleaning supplier. There are carpet cleaning sprays specifically for this sort of greasy spot. Is Service Master a nat'l company? They'd have something.

I've long since pitched the bottle I picked up to get the lipstick out of MY carpet. It works tho. I just don't know a brand name...it's not at the grocery store.

You could try oil-free eye make-up remover. It removes lipstick on clothing.
