HELP! How do I get ballpoint pen off the leather sofa?

UGH dd just found the kids school supplies and colored all over the couch witha ballpoint pen. (and marker, but I got that off) Of course it's right on the arms/seats so it's not like I can hide it
I tried saddle soap and it didn't do anything. I think it was too damp, though, it took the color part of the leather off ...yikes! (it's a cream colored couch)

Is there anything to get this off? I heard nail polish remover, but I'm scared to try it after what I just took off the couch!

Got any baby wipes (huggies worked for me)? I had really good luck getting black ink pen off our blue leather sofa. and My BIG kid (DH ) did it when he sat on a pen and it exploded. Fun Oh fun.

Thanks mamas!

I don't have any of those things!LOL I'll ahve to have DH stop on his way home and pick something up to try...
I did use the magic eraser, and it didn't do anything for the pen, but did get the marker (non washable) off!

Now I need to find some sort of something (cream?) to restore the spot I wore off trying to clean it!

I wouldn't use fingernail polish remover or alcohol to remove it. Most likely that will take the color out of the leather (ask me how I know!).

See if Neil can pick up some leather cleaner. We got a leather cleaning kit with our warranty and it usually works to take the ink marks off. Baby wipes may work also... might not completely remove the mark though.

Good luck!!

When I was a kit, I got pen on the car seats. They were vinyl , not leather though. My mom used something like K2R or KLR, it worked really well, she still has the rest of the can in the closet. (Now I know where I got my pack-rat-isness from!)

I think we bought it at the hardware store.
