Exclamation Oh no! Did Nathan just ruin the TV? FIXED IT!!!

My mom got the boys these huge magnets today at the toy store. They've been touching them to everything to see if they stick. He just put it on the TV and now there's a huge purple spot on the screen. I changed channels, turned it off and on and it's still there. DH is going to flip out.

Ok, I asked Dh He said it needs to be Degaussed-- he said that it is probably buried somewhere in the menu, if you have the book for the tv you might can find it that way

I couldn't find anything like that anywhere in the on screen menu. I'm off to look for the manual. Thanks .

Ours just had to be degaussed at the shop because lighting struck outside near the wall the TV was on it made a big line straight down one side of it. We paid $20 for them to do it since we couldn't figure out how to do it ourselves since there was nothing listed in the book.

I know I'm just posting to myself .

Why the heck did I tell DH? I thought since I fixed it there would be no reason to be upset. Right? Nope, not with this guy. Even when there's nothing to be upset about he'll find something. He starts ragging on me about how Nathan knows better than to touch the TV . WTH!? I married a winner .

any curious kid with the new toy ( as in magnet ) would be walkign around the house touching everything in site LEARNING what 'grabs' and what doesnt ....

only natural in my eyes that he would have done this as im sure every kid i know would have ventured around the outter edges of a living room seeing for himself

its a fixable situation .. and now you know how to fix for the future lol

but all it takes is to explain somethings can be harmed by a magnet ( tv, pc ect ) and thats the learning experience in itself that follows that curiousness your son had .. which im sure you already talked to him about and told him to be careful with certain things cuz it can break or hurt them by the magnetic 'power'

sorry kori your hubbys being the way he is
