Question More A/C problems w/Solution

Problem: Central A/C works until about 3:00pm CST and then slowly the house starts to rise in temperture. The unit can keep the house about 82* and that is it. Mornings are great, it is 77* in here and that is the way I like it, but as the afternoon heats up, so does the house.

Before this problem during the summer 78* was easy for it and it could even run colder if I wanted.

Evaporator coils, for the most part, are clean. Outside fins are clean. Fans on inside & outside are both blowing. Differential is about 15*: 75.8* going in, 59* going out, I hear 15* is in the acceptable range, but anything less then that is no good, so we are bordering on no good.

The outside unit was installed on 7/15/2003, last year. And during July/August it was *much* colder then it is now. I called the guy who installed it, but he hasn't returned my call. He is an honest fellow, so no worries. However, it is killing me not knowing what is wrong or what might be wrong, or what can we do. Any ideas?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And the verdict was......................refridgerant leak. Need new evaporator coil or new furnace, or we can pay $89.50 to have the system re-charged every year.
