Try using some rubbing alcohol. Pour on a generous amount, let the ink start to run and then throw it in the washer. You will probably have to do this several times before the stain is gone.

My friend has a consignment shop, and she uses hand sanitizer to get out all kinds of stains, even ink. It smells like alcohol to me so I guess thats why

One of the only things I remember from middle school is my science teacher explaining to us that most inks are alcohol based and that alcohol removes alcohol based ink. That has helped me out with a 3 year old!

I would suggest calling the company that made the marker and seeing what tips and tricks they have for removing them. DD once squirted most of a big bottle of Dawn on our kitchen floor. I couldn't get it up. The more I wiped, the slipperier (is that a word?) it got, the more water I used the soapier it got, it was a mess. Know what they told me to use...alcohol! It worked, but I never would have thought it. Call them they might have a very good, very easy answer!
