You might just need to replace the wax ring that fits between the toilet and the floor. When DH retiled the bathroom in our old house he put the toilet back in with the wrong size ring and it leaked, too. But it was easily and cheaply resolved.

I am amazed that ppl do not know the dangers of mixing bleach with other products. Or the fact that bleach is such a harmful chemical.

Sorry Mama.

One of my friends told me she thought people just said that (not to mix bleach with ammonia, in particular) because it cleans 'too good'... so, she decided to use it to clean 'real good'. Thankfully, she is still alive to talk about it, but DH assured her she probably lost a few brain cells in the process (although, we wonder how many she had to start with). LOL!

She's lucky the blasted thing didn't blow up in her face! I'd tell her if she didn't like the way my house smelled, she didn't have to come over.

One summer I was at a public pool and went to the bathroom. My eyes started to water really badly and my throat closed up. I managed to get out of the bathroom before I passed out. The idiot teenagers were trying to unstop a toilet with some serious concentrated chlorine bleach. The fumes irritated my nasal and bronchial passages so badly that I had to stay in bed for days after that. Bleach is way smurfed up.

I still use it to clean the toilet though.
