eyes Question about clothes line drying and ticks.

We've just moved and I put up a clothes line from the garage to a maple tree just until I can get dh to put up a post for one. So, I've been getting black ants on the clothes. I have been shaking them out and then throwing them in the dryer for 10 minutes. Tonight dh went to put on a t-shirt, and he got a tick bite.

Do you think being in the dryer for 10 minutes would have killed it? ie he had the tick on him already when he changed shirts and it just happened to be a coincidence...

OR

Do you think that 10 minutes in the dryer isn't enough to kill a tick?

hmm....

I dunno.... How hot does a dryer get in 10 minutes? It's pretty hot outside where they live right now.... I don't think my dryer gets extremely hot....I dunno though...

Lotsa help I am....right? lol...

The last time I hung out clothes...a couple years ago...I went to get them and there was a small snake curled around the line and one of the clothespins... It never occurred to me a snake could even get on the actual line...well...they can. I hate snakes! So...I never got around to thinking about ticks on my clothes...the snake did me in!

Yikes, a snake? I had forgotten about that possible scenario with our humungo yard, lol.
