dentist Holy Moly those Mr Clean magic eraser things are awesome!

I broke down and bought some and I cannot believe how well they work! They got crayon off the tiles that I could not get off no matter how hard I scrubbed. I also used one in the bathroom to get the soap gunk off the tub and it came right off! I still can't believe I bought something so toxic, but I guess every once in a while is ok (I use vinegar/ tto to clean pretty much everything and it just doesn't cut it on soap scum in the tub, kwim?).

I don't think I want to know what's in them though... pretty nasty stuff I'm sure.

I didn't think there was anythning in them, I thought it was the nature of the material, it being a microfiber of some sort, that was suppose to be the magic behind it

I've wondered what was in it too. And so far it has gotten just about everything off our walls, including sharpie permanent marker that it lightened up to almost nothing visible. I love those things. The crayon that I scrubbed and scrubbed with regular stuff, just came off in a flash with one of those magic erasers.

I just bought one also....

I was thinking it had some kind of "magic cleaner" in it...but if it does...I think it is minimal. I'm also thinking it's just the micro-material....

It doesn't get dried nail polish off of furniture.... We don't allow nail polish...for that and other reasons...but Alicia had a sleepover and I guess someone snuck some in....

However....it did get the Sharpie off the toilet seat...

Kimi~ I really don't know now that you mention it. There is no odor to the things and they don't have any suds or anything... maybe it just it the nature of the material. If it is, I sure feel a whole lot better about using them. It says on the pkg to keep them away from kids and pets b/c you're not supposed to eat them (duh) but it doesn't say anything about wearing gloves.

I bet it would take pen off a wall. I bet it would take anything off anything! It is amazing... I still can't get over it!

I thought Gwen or someone had checked into this and found out they contain formaldehyde. You might want to do a search for the earlier post.

Don't use them on your wood cabinets!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read in a post here of how well they worked on getting gunk off of cabinets. I bit the bullet and bought some and the darn things took the finish right off of my cabinet door

Am the only one who would rather repaint a room than scrub the walls?

Tara <---who has painted and repainted many many many rooms

ps: that said, I might need to pick up one of these - no time to repaint before holiday guests arrive and I also have a few crayon-on-the-wall spots!

I've used this on our white walls in the dining room and it left a yellowish tint on the wall. Other than that it did work great to get crayon, and dirty finger prints off the walls.

Is it really formeldyhyde in the erasers? They certainly have no smell at all. My dh just bought me some andthey are definitely awesome. On the other hand, I am trying to get rid of the toxic cleaners ...

I would love to repaint my house - it really needs it. But paint is way to expensive and I would want someone to help me and dh can't. And, I would need help moving the large furniture (bunkbeds, china cabinet, bookcases).
