What kind of glue? White glue?
I'd lay a damp (not wet) sponge on the surface, then scrape when softened. It could take an hour or so. The wood will be softened too, so go slowly. Then, when the wood is dry (overnight) I'd sand it with a very fine grit sand paper if there's still excess glue. Don't sand damp wood.
Is it finished/unfinished?
Edit: I see now that the furniture is still glued to the surface. I'd still try getting moisture on it to loosen. May take a few sponges, but try and sandwich the sponges around the connections.
Another thought, you could use a straight edge razor to try and cut them free. Do it when you're calm tho.

It's a slow process to avoid gouging the wood OR YOU.
