This is what I’m making for a holiday gift baskets this year—thought you might enjoy the recipes, too!

By the way, I’m also adding a candle holder or piece of jewelry from my sister. She’s new here and will probably continue to lurk. She also contributed bracelets to one of the Charity Auctions.

My personal favorite is the chakra bracelet!

Bath Candy
4 oz shea butter
4 oz baking soda
2 oz citric acid
Melt the shea butter, then stir in the baking soda and citric acid. Add scent if desired. Vanilla is really nice! Pour into small molds. Let cool, place in freezer, then pop out. I wrap these in those little foil candy wrappers.

Bath Fizzies
Mix these dry things together in ziplock bag: 3 c. baking soda and 2 c. citric acid
Put these in a jar and shake up or just mix really well: 2 tablespoons oil of choice (I like to use meadowfoam or jojoba) and a little bit of scent.
Combine 1 cup of dry ingredients with the wet ingredients above. Mix well and press into those plastic ball ornament halves or whatever you want to use for a mold. Press really hard! Pop out and let dry a day or two before packaging.

Bath Salts-
I think everyone has a recipe for these! If you need some suggestions, let me know.

Lip Balm- I like to use this recipe from Rainbow Meadow, but change the oils.
Basic Lip Balm
1 oz beeswax
1 oz apricot kernel oil
.7 oz avocado oil
20 drops essential oil
Melt beeswax and oils together. Allow to cool before stirring in essential oils, but mixture should still be warm and pourable. Stir essential oils in well and pour into lip balm tubes. Makes approx. 12. Recipe can be increased.

Solid Perfume- this goes great in the lip balm tubes, too!
About 3 parts oil of choice- use a nice one, maybe jojoba, meadowfoam or apricot kernel.
About 2 parts beeswax- can use candellila for a vegan version, but you will need a little more
Scent as desired. Remember, you can always add more but you can’t take it, so add a little and build up.
Melt the oil/beeswax gently in a double boiler, remove and let cool til still liquid, but not so hot. Stir in scent and pour into tubes.

Herbal Bath Bags-
You can do these in pre-made muslin bags, make your own muslin bags or press-and-seal teabags. Combine herbs of choice, a few drops of essential oil if desired, some salt or oatmeal (again, if you want) and place in bags. These are usually good for one or two baths. I like to use lavender, calendula, chamomile, rose petals, a bit of mint and a little orange peel usually.

Dream Pillows- There are loads of recipes- more than you can imagine! This is the one I made up. Combine the ingredients, then sew into pillows.
Mugwort 2parts
Lavender 2 parts
Spearmint ½ part
Rose petals 1 part
Calendula 1 part
Frankincense tears 1 or 2 (optional)
Cloves just a few

Body Spray-
8 oz EverClear/100 proof Vodka
1 Tbsp. Vegetable Glycerine
1 tsp. FO of your choice
Combine these ingredients really well. Again, a jar works great! This will not be really clear, especially depending on the fragrance or essential oil you use, so keep that in mind before packaging.

Linen Spray-
About 3 ¾ oz distilled water mixed with about ¼ oz lavender essential oil. This is awesome as a sheet spritzer!

Yeah it may look easy to do by reading the instructions, but its really not. Its very time consuming and takes a lot of work to make the bath fizzies. I know this from experience.....

I wish any of you mama's trying to make these the best of luck, It took me several batches to get them just right.

Candy, I didn't think the fizzies were that difficult to make. But they are easiest when it isn't humid. If they clump up, you can just let them dry, crumble them, and you have fizzing bath rocks! With the recipe, you have two options if they aren't coming out right. You can add more liquids or more dry ingredients, it's that simple!

Oh, and I have actually seen one of her bracelets in person. I put together the baskets Tami generously donated to Jen's raffle, and she sent a bracelet for one of them. It was gorgeous and I've been wanting one ever since. She also did some beadwork for a candle holder and vase, they were beautiful. She's very talented.

Edited to add-If you'd like (or if anyone else wants it) I could add that bath scrub recipe. Just lmk.

I think the bath fizzies are pretty easy!! I am whipping out batch after batch in like 20 minutes! But, instead of the oil, I am using witchhazel in a mister bottle, don't know if this is easier, but just the recipe I found first!

I didn't find them difficult just time consuming because I keep making HUGE batches and use litle candy molds! LOL! That is a PAIN!! I like life difficult I guess! LOL!

I'm making bath fizzies to go along with the soaps, too. Now I wish I had ordered some Shea Butter. Maybe next time.

ITA Karen! I was so happy when I saw the link to her sister's website. I always liked the beadwork she did on some candles Tami offered through her list, and then I got to see a bracelet that she donated to the auction I did. It was so nice and well made, and I'm going to order a couple for gifts. And maybe hint to dh, lol.

I was just thinking about this! Do you mean you use the shaped molds that are open on the top, or do you have a candy mold that makes balls? I have a heart mold and I thought it would be cute to make the bath candy and fizzies with it, but I wasn't sure if it would work. Anyone know?

Amber, I'm pretty sure that's what they mean--press the mixture into the candy mold with the open top. It'll be flat on one side but will look cute nonetheless. I rec'd some bath fizzies that were hearts and flat on the back.

Anyone have advice for fizzies that grow and get all gloppy? My recipe has epsom salt, glycerine, citric acid, baking soda and scent. I've let the salt/glycerin dry out for days. When I combine the citric acid with it the mixture grows and gets really sticky and clumpy. ???

I like having the epsom salt in it so I'd prefer a recipe with that in it that still fizzes. Maybe I should just skip the glycerin?
