Talking What do you give for a wedding shower gift?

A dear friend of mine is getting married but she has been living with her man for about 6 years now. I am at a loss as to what to get her as her house is totally decorated (boy is that not my talent, lol) and she has no children. She has registered at places but I just don't feel like going and buying her a gift, ykwim? I want to make something unique for her and unusual that no one else will get her. Anyone have any ideas? I can be crafty and do know how to sew, but what to make? I have a week from Sat. to get it figured out, lol. Thanks!!!

I saw on HGTV (my new addiction ) a deal where you get a nice picture of them, and have a large white mat around it where your friends and family write their well-wishes. Then you get it framed and give it to them.

I liked it, but I'm a dork.

How bout crochet them a blanket in thier wedding colors? Or buy a premade blanket and then stitch thier names and wedding date into it? I got something like that from my maid of honor and i use the blanket almost every day and we've been married since 97.

I was also gonna suggest just to get a nice frame, or make up a basket that they could take with them to the hotel on thier honeymoon night, champagne, strawberries, champagne glasses, bath beads or bombs, lotions etc.. You can get alot of stuff at the $1 store and then get the other stuff at the grocery store.
