Cat question

My cat has these wierd lumps, well almost like in her armpit. She had one on her back awhile back and then before I could save up the moola to take her to the vet, she must have popped it or something. I cleaned it out, and it healed. it was a good size... at least a half inch and it was deeper than I liked... probably a between a quarter and an eighth inch.

Do you think they are just fatty cysts? Or am I unrealistically trying to assure myself that she's going to be okay? I get paid this week and I'm hoping to have enough money to be able to take her in. They always gouge me, urgh.

She's around 15 years old we think. We got her from the humane society 11+ years ago and they weren't super sure how old she was.
