After getting Shadow and nursing her for a few weeks and really enjoying it. I emailed our local Humane Society which runs the shelter here. Expecially after seeing the crowded conditions first hand while looking for Pumpkin who came up missing while my fiance was away and then came back the morning after he came home.

nfire: He gave me the scare of my life. Anyways i offered to Nurse any kittens, puppies, or other small animals that they got in on the 26th. The lady lady got in touch with me the next day and said she would keep me on her list and thanking me. She emailed me again the 29th with a kitten that someone left at a home in a development. A guy had found it and called in and he had taken it to the vet the humane society uses. I talked to the lady on the phone and she told me the kitten was ready and if i needed any food or anything to let her know. Today i picked up the kitten at noon.
Our humane Society and Shelter might seem a little UHM loose but they have a "kill" rate of 400 animals per year. So they try to save as many as possible.
The kitten is a male and about 6-7 weeks old. He is a little skinny and small for a 6-7 week old, but i think once he fills out he will look about that age.He looks almost half Shadows size, but for sure it atleast 6 weeks or more He has fleas pretty badly. I gave him a bath and blow dried him, since i saw flea dander as soon as we got home. Took a comb to him and picked all the fleas i could off and a tick. He was very well behaved while i gave him a bath although he did not like the blow drying much, but at his age and being in a weaker state it isn't good for them to get chilled. I cleaned out his ears some as well to remove the access gunk from the ear mites. I put a few drops of olive oil to loosen all of the crusties in his ears. I can almost hear him go AHhhhhhhhhh. Tommorrow will be the next dose of ear mite treatment so i thought getting out the extra gunk tonight might do some good.
The vet gave me ear mite medicine( 1 drop per ear every 3 days), amoxil drops(.32cc 2x daily) , Colife-V(1cc per day), and Eye medicine(across each eye 3x per day). I looked up Colife and its like a vitamin suppliment for anemic and/or delapidated horses, dogs, or cats. By looking at her gums which are a very pale pink yeah she is low, expecially with all those fleas. His eyes are sore looking around them, but no sneezes or hacking so thats Really good.
I have been feeding him kitten chow and Kitten Glop. He has perked up since i brought him home and is wanting to play some now. YAY He and shadow are getting a long well. They took a nap on my chest thisafternoon. I have been trying my best to keep this little fellow warm and to show him the water, food, and litter box.
Here are some pics i took them after i cleaned him up so that the lady from the humane society could list him on petfinder.
This is the clearest picture
And an upclose of his poor little eyes
