where can i find a wooden toy shopping cart?

We got rid of Emma's Leap Pad talking shopping cart because it made me want to smash it to tiny pieces. I'd love to find her a wooden one. Is there such a thing? When I do a search, I get sites that sell wooden toys and a link to the checkout shopping cart! Help me find this cool Christmas present!

I know they do make them. I was searching for one a year ago or so and found some. But, they were pricey, IMO. I am a cheapskate and can't imagine spending $60 for a toy shopping cart.

We found a large picnic basket at a flea market and J is planning on attaching a wooden base to it with wheels. While we were brainstorming on how to make the handle, we realized that we could just take off one of the carrying handles, and attach the other one at an upright angle to make the handlebar.

I am racking my brain, but I just can't remember the sites where I saw the wooden carts....

i got dd one last year from magic cabin. i think it was $39. made by small world toys. with the coupon code for flat shipping of $4.99 or something like that i found it to be a decent price. at least it was the least expensive i could find.

i know there is a thread around here with that same coupon code from magic cabin. worth a look. a year later the cart still looks good and dd has attempted to step inside so it can take a beating. the casters are still working well.

Glad to see this post. I had given up hopes of ever finding a wooden shopping cart.

I was thinking the same thing... would be simple enough to draft out and construction is pretty easy too.

I found a metal one (like the "real" ones) that I think I might get. It's from Pottery Barn Kids and the price is fair, I think ($39).

We have the stainless steel shopping carts here and they are a huge hit. I got mine at a grocery store auction for a few bucks each (I bought 3) and everyone who sees them wants one. They really take a beating.
