Vaccination.... thinking
I have 3 of my kids unvaccinated. I have a notarized form saying it's against our religious beliefs.
I'm reading more and more... and I'm afraid we are going to get into this (and have spent a lot of $$ into the process) and have Ethiopia NOT accept us based on that. They require you to provide medical care... and I am thinking the vaccination issue might be included.
I thought about calling our agency and talking to them about it - but I am afraid that just asking the questions might put up red flags to them before we even get started officially (right now we have just registered, the application will be completed in the fall along with the homestudy). KWIM? I'm afriad that by me bringing it up it would be a problem when it might not be otherwise.
If I just wait it out, we are talking: $1600 application fee, $200 registration fee, $200 application for homestudy, $2000 homestudy, $1500 agency fee #2, plus the dossier fees for translation, and a few other things that would be paid before actually getting approved by Ethiopia.
Anyone have any advice? I have time, it's not time crunch time or anything. But I won't be vaccinating, either. That is a non-negotiable item in our family for the kids.
