I was a foster child pretty the whole year I was in 4th grade into 5th. Don't have time to go into detail right now..........I have 3 younger brothers. Me and my brother 4yrs younger were together and the 2 youngest were together with another family. We got the good family, the 2 younger ones got the not so good family.

I went into the system for a short time when I was 6 or 7 and then got placed back with my mom and things were ok for awhile. When I was 12, she was so far gone from heroin abuse and we were homeless that she lost me for good. I havent seen her since a court date early on, although her family in Germany had heard from her when I was 17 and no one told me. So I spent my last years of adolesence in foster care until I was able to escape by going off to college.
Why do you ask? I know I wouldnt mind chatting with other "survivors" of the system. Its definitely an experience that shaped my life but one that I cant really talk about with the people in my real life because no one can relate. And even Dh, he just doesnt like to hear my stories because they make him sad. That said, my stories are pretty tame from what I have heard elsewhere, YK?

I was when I was 12 yrs old when I got taken from my mother and was waiting to be placed with my aunt. And then for awhile when I was 15 when I was taken from my aunt and was waiting to go to my fathers? Just curious why were you interested?
So I spent my last years of adolesence in foster care until I was able to escape by going off to college.
