Musings about my family!

Sometimes I am just so amazed at how much I love these two children that don't have a drop of my blood running through their veins, but are such a part of me that surely I would die if I didn't have them.

With Kent battling cancer, these two give me reason to smile, to stay in my routine, to see the wonder of life all around me when all else seems so dark. Sam told me out of the blue the other day, "I'm so glad God put me in this family. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." Daisy snuggled up to me last night, and said, "I will love you forever Mama, and I don't want a husband, I'll just stay with you." ha ha!

What blessings ALL my children are to me and my husband. Thank you God for Hunter, Zack, Molly, Sam (adopted from U.S. foster care system) and Daisy (adopted from China).

Thanks for posting this! Just what I needed to hear! Our social worker has said to us that when families are fostering for them & get a child that is available for adoption its just so obvious when a child that is just meant to be with them. That even though they werent biologically from them they just click & are meant to be together. lately I've been a little worried - what if we got the chance to adopt & that child felt out of place with us, etc,etc.... your post was just what I needed.

Blessings to your family!

I know just how you feel.....my love and attachment to my daughter (adopted from China) is no different that it is for my sons (biological). Actually, in some ways I feel like Im extra blessed to have my DD b/c no one had any say with my boys, but someone else trusted me enough to let me raise and love my daughter, kwim?
