I cant seem to post in the other thread but I would be thrilled if someone would tap for me to best learn/understand tapping. I have just started reading the manual on Gary's site.

I started researching ways to help my daughter and I know I too would benefit.

So if anyone wants to tap for my daughter while I learn I would be most appreciative.

She has been diagnosed ADHD, depression, quesionable bipolar.

I'm not sure about these "labels" but I do know all her life (she's 17) she has struggled. She is angry, resentful, has lots of trouble in school, strained relationships with friends and boys (the ones she has left), enormous self esteemm problems and she thinks I am crazy to be considering this.

She has been in counseling for years and with her 18th birthday approaching has decided tha as an adult she might not continue.

We both need help.

Welcome Sarie!

The way we work the tapping circle, is that you join...become a member and then we take turns every few days tapping as a group for each other. you do not have to be an expert in EFT, you just have to know the tapping points and the basic idea behind tapping.

So, first lets make sure you have the info you need.
~do you know the tapping points?
~have you downloaded the manual?
~have you read articles from the emofree.com website?

And..
the first thing to do when doing EFt is to clear yourself. Get yourself clear and centered, then you can think about helping your daughter. Tap on your issues regarding your daughter. That might be a very long list given she is 18 yo, but just start with any feelings of helplessness and frustration you have and go from there. If there is something in particular that is bothering you right now(like her wanting to wuit counseling) then tap on that first. Tap using the words you would use if you were telling your best girlfriend about it all...

please post more with your questions and we will see if we canhelp you.

{{[HUGS}}}, mama. It is so hard to see our kids suffer...

Thank you Linda,

I do know the tapping points, and I have downloaded and printed the manual. I can't afford the videos right now but I found quite a few on youtube that I've been watching and practicing with daily for about a week now. I have probably not read all the articles from the emofree site but I have read many of them.

If you want to join the tapping circle..I believe you go to the
User cp in the upper left of your tool bar.
Then go to
Group Memberships and join there..if you don't see it let Deborah know...you can PM her.

IS there something specific I can help you with? I would be happy to.

I finally figured out how to sign up, it didnt seem to work at first. I apologize if I have sent several requests.

I've decided that since my daughter has been like this since birth, I am going to find as many pictures of her and I as I can from her growing up and tap whatever I see going on in the picture. She still thinks I am losing it by believing that this can help at all.

She has been calmer and more focused on schoolwork. She has midterms next week that she must pass or will lose all her credits for the entire year so lots of stress for her. She also has been more cooperative and not fighting with me and the rest of her family as much. She cleaned her room!

Bless you all
