bouncing bunny Oh Deborah...I *really* want to hear about the Masters Showcase!

I hope you had FUN! I am sure you learned a lot. I can imagine that the energy there was amazing.

What are your favorite things that you learned?
Any particular EFT styles you saw demoed that you though "wow, that really is congruent with me?"

Funny stories?

LOL!

Can you tell I just want to hear all about it?
Glad you are back home safe and sound

Well the best thing is that I was a demo subject and was on stage being worked with one-on-one for a whole 90 minutes ... It was really cool.

Few things I learned:

1)to keep the eyes moving while tapping -- if you freeze in one point, that's going deeper into the trauma

2) if you tap on something physical first, the emotional stuff seems to move easier and with less intensity

3) use color and sensation to describe physical pain and focus in

4) the use of images -- going inside and seeing what images come up, tapping on the images, and then revisit the images -- it's called imagineering

5) that I don't want to do addictions work and that everyone has their own style.

Rue Hass was there and I really like her models for the sensitive person. CHeck out her site and articles --- intuitivementoring.com I think it is.

When I go through my notes, I'll see what else pops up. It's so hard for me to convey the experience in words -- I know when you go to yours, you'll do a much better job.

Hugs,
Deb.

Wow, I would love to be a demo subject hehe. Given my frankness..I would be perfect lol!

Why don't you want to do addict work? I know it is tough stuff. I've been thinking about this myself. Addicts and sexual abuse. I've been wondering what I want to specialise in, but I have given myself a year to work into my specialty(ies).

On pain I learned from Rehana Webster to yes definitely focus in on color and sensation. She taught us
Look at the pain(try to define it very specifically)...try to look at it outside of your body(externalize the pain if you can) and describe..
shape
color
texture
sound and movement.
is it related to an emotion/emotional component to the pain??
of course, level of pain 0-10 scale.

Also is there a time you KNOW this pain started...after a car accident(that gives you a specific incident and definitely emotions).
What was going on in your life when the pain started?
When does it come on(what triggers it)

I like Rue Hass a lot too.I love her because she says "I am a very curious person...I want to know the details" that is how I am as well.

So glad you had a great trip. I am really looking forward to mine.

I know how hard it is to convey the experience in words. All of the incredible energy in those experiences are so awe inspiring and humbling and energizing...it seems silly to put words to it all.

Working with addictions requires a lot of diligence and patience that I don't know if I have. Plus I think I've still got some of my own stuff to work on around addictions. I also wonder if the practitioner should have a medical background because there is a physiological component to drug and alchohol addiction.

I like working with sexual abuse/trauma. I have my own story so I can completely understand my clients and it's so devastating and such a relief when it is cleared. It's amazing work.

It will be interesting to see where you end up focusing .... it's an organic process .... and as you change, your clients change. You are going to be so great, I do know that!

When do you go to Sydney?

Hugs,
Deb.

Hmm...on addictions...I am not sure you need a medical background for that work. The client could work with the primary health care provider as well as you on it if you think it necessary for them to have medical input. But, I totally understand not wanting to work/specialize in a certain area.

I was thinking that I would really like to work with sexual abuse. I don't have a story, which makes ma reluctant on some levels, but I think that would be a simple clearing of a blocking belief.(well, I *might* have a one...it has been nagging at me for a little while now, but if I have one I don't have a memory of it. I muscle test positive for it. ugh)

IN any case, I just watched the DVD of Gary's on Sexual abuse and I feel like I need to learn more therapy work specifically for that(not much but do more reading on Parts work and some reading on sexual abuse) before I would ever specialize in it. I think it would be very satisfying.

Thank you for the compliment. I agree, deciding on specializing is an organic process.

I go to Sydney the end of October. It seems far but I know it will come fast.
