Feel Great First, then the Weight Follows

To everyone who's working with me on the weight loss, and those of you working on any undesirable behavior, I do want to say, and this is so very important for everyone -- with EFT, or what ever method you choose to use to release stuff, first you will feel great and THEN the weight will come off. Never the other way around for a permanent change.

The weight is a protective mechanism that has served us well. It's hard to imagine but it has given us a distraction from other more painful memories ... once we have freedom from those other issues, whatever they are, then the weight no longer is the issue. It's never about the weight or the smoking or the drinking or the compulsive exercising -- it's about the underlying emotions (often anxiety) that have been too scary to look at.

I speak from personal experience and also from my studies of the EFT work.
That's why I love the EFT process -- it gives us a way to neutralize those painful emotions quickly. And we can't know what all of those things are at once or we'd explode .... so it is a unraveling process that we take at our own pace ....

So I'm just wanting to make sure we are gentle with ourselves and know that whatever we are doing, it's the best we can. And it can get so much better!

Hugs,
Deborah
