How do I get more feedback???

I am fairly new to Ebay but have bought and sold a total of 16 items and only have had 8 feedback. I have paid promptly when purchasing and I have been honest with descriptions and quick to ship with sales. The feedback I have had has been all positive. Is there something I am missing or is it just part of ebay to get feedback on 50% of your transactions? Should I follow up with people? I'm just not clear on the ediquette...

feedback does take a while.

Most sellers won't post feedback till the buyer does .

If you have the same id buying several auctions, that only counts as one number
