?Ebay...best day/time/part of the year?

Tell me what you think is the best...

day to put up an auction (for 7 day auctions)

time of day

part of the year (providing the auction item isn't specific to a certain time of year)

I have a bunch of stuff to put up and would really like to wait until the ideal time, if there is a such thing.

Thanks mamas

I normally have the best luck with auctions closing Tuesday-Thursday between 8pm-12am EST. Friday nights & weekends have not been great for me this summer.

Things have been slow but steady for me since June but bidding has definitely picked up since early September. The winter months are great for my sales!

Hope that helps some!

Thanks!

I did some research and found a site that said Sundays between 6 & 9 pm were good? Go figure!

I hope to put up a bunch of stuff soon and want it to do well, of course

What kinds of things do you sell?

Try this site - I don't think it mentions which times are best, but there is a calendar for which days are good for a 3 day, 5 day, 7 day or 10 day auction.

Lots of different things!

Really, I go to thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, and auctions and if I see something that I think will do well, I buy it. I dabble in kid's clothes but sell mostly collectibles, books & other miscellaneous. For about a month I've been working my way through a huge lot of antique sterling silver pieces my mother found, plus some antique china & books that I bought at an estate sale. I also sold some hard-to-find Barbies last week.

Of course there are plenty of things I find when cleaning my own messy closets - my goal is always to clean, throw out & simplify but I just end up moving things from bedroom closets to the already overflowing "eBay" closet.

Not much help I guess... I have heard that Sundays are good but they haven't been for me. I guess the best way is to list a few things and see how they do on different days/nights.

Good luck!
