So what are the "good" diapers right now?

I haven't had to think about which diapers to use in like 4 years! lol. We've been using FB this time, and I'm just sick of them (rashes, stinky, striping, etc). So we're switching to fitteds. But I'm not sure where to even begin looking! I know there are probably 2-3x as many diaper makers than even a couple years ago.

I prefer all cotton, attatched quick dry, snaps, good for fat thighs. Right now she fits in the Medium FB on the 3rd hip snap (from center out), and the 2nd waist snap. Rise is about perfect.

So - what would be good for us??

I used to love SOS creations--are they still around? Oh, and of course for a nice padded butt, go with Luke's Drawers.

Sew your own? I can trace off a pattern if you like. (Mine, so I can do that.)

If I had the time, ambition, etc, I probably would, lol. I am completely diaper sewing worn out though - and I haven't made a diaper in more than a year! lol I just don't enjoy sewing them at ALL anymore, and it used to be one of my favorites!

SOS are the best - but I don't know if she's making them anymore

You can't really go wrong with Motherease - it's kind of an old workhorse, nothing fancy, but fairly reliable.

Umm - what else? Not into prefolds? We go through snappi'd prefold phases, especially when in-between sizes.

Sckoon are supposed to be great www.emibeans.com has them

I love the OV Swaddlebees....they do well for Catie, and she's a couple of months older than your dd. I use them with fleece or wool covers a lot and rarely have leaks.

OH well goodness, if you've made them before. . . Just make one a day? lol What about trading with one of the moms on the sewing board? You make adorable stuff! I'm not helping at all. sorry.

I thought of another one. Some of my favs were prefolds made in to fitteds. LOVED them. Those are much easier than just making a diaper from scratch and super absorbant.

I'll leave you alone to shop now. lol

I agree with Sandi I really liked ME's. Other than that I had REALLY good luck with FireFly Diapers and or Elbee baby. Both of the last 2 are $$$ but they were what worked best for us over night hands downs. Cuddlebuns worked really good too, I like the Bikini cut best.

If you are looking for a little challenge, the 2 really popular fitteds right now that everyone is talking about at the diaper sites are PeeWells http://www.hyenacart.com/ClothEtc/ aka PW's and Black Bird Lane (BBL's) http://hyenacart.com/WoolfulComforts/. I have never tried a BBL, but I have PeeWells, they are great. I probobly would have more if I did not have a daughter with a very sensative bum, we have to use stay dry diapers.
