How to sun a diaper

Okay, I admit it. I'm a dingbat. Its probably so easy, but I have no clue how to sun a diaper. Do I just stick it out in the sun and thats it? How long does it usually take? TIA

I hang out wet (from the washer) dipes, then bring them in when dry. Stains are usually gone in a few hours.

And not a stupid question. It took about 8 explainations before I figured out how to care for wool covers.

Wash them and hang them out wet

Hanging them dry isn't nearly as effective.

one time my mother put diapers out in the evening...and the next morning they were stain free! no lie! so i guess you can 'moon' your diapers too.

we always laid them out on the deck straight out of the washer and then when the stains were gone in a couple hours..i finished them in the dryer to make them softer.

Don't feel dumb. I often wondered the same thing, but didn't ask anyone I know. The thing that makes me feel dumb now is that I didn't ask, because the first response to your post was from someone I know personally.
