I want to cloth diaper again, darnit!

We moved into our new house and I couldn't wait to cloth diaper again now that we live somewhere with a decent septic system. But my diapers are in storage at my MIL's house who lives an hour away. They are in her shed in the back of the property. So getting my diapers entails driving to her house with my three kids, hunting through the boxes in storage there (meaning someone has to be home to watch my kids because it's not safe back there) and hauling them back to my car myself (the shed is way in the back of the property and FIL won't let me drive my car back to the shed because it makes tire tracks on the lawn ). So, since that's not going to happen I have to wait for dh to help me and hopefully I will talk him into going this weekend so he can load the tractor (riding lawn mower with trailer, yes they insist on calling it the tractor) with the boxes. The past two weekends we haven't done it because I need him to do various projects at home and help me unpack but this weekend I want my diapers bad enough to forgoe the projects and road trip to MIL's house! I want my diapers!

(thus explaining the "?" in my countdown to cloth diapering.)

Sorry for the vent but I figured you all would understand how important the cloth dipes can be to a mama.

I laughed because dh has a "tractor" just like that LOL

I don't know what I'd do if my cloth were packed up somewhere and I couldn't get to them - I hope you get them soon!

I love my cloth diapers too. Couldn't imagine doing it any other way. Had a woman tell me the other day she'd never seen anyone put a cloth pinned diaper on that fast!! I've been doing this for over 14 years!! Started with flats & graduated to pre-folds with my 4th. Always used pins, tried the elastic thing (can't remember the name) but like my pins much better!!

Wow! You sure have had a lot of practice! You can't get a better fit than with pins. I use snappis and pins interchangeably. I used flats with my dd2 when she was a newborn. I don't know anyone else who uses flats but I loved them. They were so soft and they dried so fast.
