My clutter builds up on my kitchen counter. When you walk into my home...you enter near the kitchen. Everything we bring in ends up on the counter. I also have that clutter or junk draw with who knows what in it. Where does your clutter build up?

The mudroom in general, but specifically the white shelf by the back door. MUDROOM
Rob comes in and leaves books, journals, keys, coins, all kinds of things there.

the top of the bookcases in my dining/eating area. It's where DH drops his stuff when he comes in the door, collects mail, etc. Drives me batty, esp. b/c I created an area for this kind of thing right beside our door out to the garage. It's a clutter spot, but I intented it to act as a catch all, and organized it so I could deal with the stuff I knew would intentionally end up there.
Our office/computer room is terrible. Stuff gets dropped in there and never put away. I leave it, b/c I think of it as DH's domain, but eventually I get frustrated and tidy up, leaving two or three piles for him to deal with.
ETA: this thread would be more fun if everyone posted a before and after photo of their worst "hot spot"
My main problem is boxes. I keep most of my big boxes so I can have something to pack my stuff in if I move. My new place is smaller but with more closet space. My closets (most of them) are filled with boxes.
Mine is the edge of the kitchen counter as you walk in from the garage. We have a half wall between kitchen and living room it gets stacked there, there is a coat tree bench by the front door that the top gets loaded up with crap.
