On the declutter war path!

I started to get really stressed out about how small this house was, so when we went to Ikea yesterday to get dishes (and actually DIDN't get anything else! YAY!) I decluttered my entire kitchen. Then dh and I cleaned it top to bottom. Got rid of all my old dishes, anything that we didn't use, or that didn't really fit, and all of my plastic tuperware (I only had a few small peice. I bought a glass set months ago and have been using that 95% of the time anyway). Half the back of our car is filled and I am moving on to the kids rooms now. They are cleaning, and then I will come in and help them decide what to go. Alex has already brought me a bag of stuff that "he didn't want sitting in his closet anymore" and I wanted to cry! He is the biggest pack rat in our house (did I tell you guys what I found in his room? Like collections of peach pits and soda can tops??? Yeah... PACK RAT!) and so it was a huge victory for me to have him chipping in.

I am ready.

Let the purging begin!

Val
