It's happening! We're unpacking...

and decluttering as we do it. It's very satisfying!

So far we have kitchen pots/pans/plates/etc done (not pantry, pantry is half-done) and the bathroom.

We got rid of a big box of kitchen stuff, plus 2 garbage bags full of old plastic containers, but this area was already well-decluttered. We have a lot of hand-thrown pottery packed in the basement of the old house that we will go through, saving an extra set of 4-6 for company, getting rid of any chipped pieces, and passing on the rest. All made by Matt's mom.

Our next areas are the pantry, the clothing, and then the office/paperwork.

I am hoping to get those done this week sometime.

Starting tomorrow (I hope) I will be posting pics on my blog...link is in my sig line. It is in need of updating right now but tomorrow I hope to put new pics up! I've been waiting for dh to trim out the bathroom fixtures but I may have to post some "not quite done" ones just to show how we organized in there.

I think it is always easier to get rid of things you haven't seen for awhile. LOL Anyhow, good luck!
