Wow - I wish I'd have taken before pics. I just

wiped out so much stuff lol

We took the big plastic desk (blech) gramma gave us a few years ago that no one uses to Goodwill. I moved the shelf of many miscellaneous toys out to dh's work are. Then dh removed a shelf for me so the playstands could be moved over to where the desk/shelf used to be and I hung all the dressup stuff and reorganized the playstands in their new home.
The train table was also moved and then there was enough space to bring the bouncy castle in from the covered patio to the playroom (getting too hot to bounce outside).

I took 4 bags out and dh hauled them (full of toys etc) and the desk up to Goodwill.

Next we moved all the unused outdoor toys to the back of the yard where they will sit til the city comes to pick up bulk trash in july (they're too far gone even for goodwill imho).

Once Roman takes his nap I'll be sorting thru his trucks/cars and we'll be making up another Goodwill box.

Am going to drink some water and get back to it - next is the books. Oh, the books. I have such a hard time paring down books. I'm going to just do it tho.

Dh plans another run to Goodwill during nap - books, stuffed toys and trucks.

Its his last day of no work so I'm getting all I can out of him too. LOL

lol. Too tired from all that moving of stuff and junk to take pics. Trust me - its sooooo much nicer. Even Zoey said when she got home from school "wow mama, you cleaned up bunches"
(now hopefully she doesn't start asking where some stuff disappeared to lol)

Today I decluttered stereos lol

I decided that the stereo in our family room, which is a huge, monsterous beast needed to go. My folks gave it to us years ago - the cd player, casette, radio and equalizer with humongous speakers that took up all this shelf space on the built in bookcases.
We rarely listen to it honestly - we listen to music in the van, on the computer (itunes), or in the front living room on the dvd player cuz theres more dancing room in there.

So - Today I took the whole thing apart (millions of wires) and moved it into the back of the laundry/playroom til we can get it to goodwill this weekend. I wiped down the bookcase where it was and then brought out the smaller cd player/radio/casette player from our bedroom that is NEVER used with small speakers and put it on the 1st shelf that was freed up lol. I put all the cd's and cassettes back in their cases , got rid of stuff and straightened it all up.

With the shelf space I freed up I moved some of the overflow of kids books out to the 2nd shelf, blocks and toys that were taking up floor space and now are on a shelf out of the way.

Even dh was proud of this one. That I moved it all myself, reorganized, cleaned and we'll take the tax credit for the donation to goodwill.

Plus moving the smaller stereo out of my bedroom cleared room on the nightstand so it just looks much less cluttered in there.

And we just didn't need two stereo systems. So now we have one .

Wow, you sure have been busy Barb! I love the feeling of getting all of the junk out and neatening the rest up. I *really* need to do that again.
