What are you working on today? 5/12/06

Wow, is it really almost the middle of May?

So today is the last week day before I start full-time employment. I'm a bit nervous. How am I going to juggle everything? I know I must sit down and menu plan for the next two weeks. This has to be a must to keep us away from convience food.

I have to take the cat to the vet today at 11.

I need to work on that closet.

Declutter kids clothes.

post some pics of my fs list and possibly list on ebay

go to post office

fold laundry

get waxed at 2:30-ouch!!

Josh has a birthday party at 3pm. (thankfully, my friend is going to pick up her son and Joshie and take them both. I'll meet them there after my appt.

I have another bag to donate to a local charity. I also have a bag of books to donate to the library here.

I have 2 large rubbermaid containers that I need to go through and either list on here or donate and I think I will try to do that today.

For cleaning, I am going to try to get both bathrooms clean today. I will straighten up the playroom and the boys rooms and make all beds. I have to change E's bed since he had an accident last night. I am going to finish up laundry and get it all put away.

Early morning chores are done, which means the bathroom mirrors, sinks, and toilet (inside and out) are clean. I took a few extra minutes to sweep and wipe the floors too. DH did the breakfast dishes and wiped the table. The beds are made.

We have my parents coming over tomorrow evening, so I have that in mind. I want to move out some of the stuff we decluttered but piled in the corner.

School room needs to be tidied!

We need to finish making the Mother's Day cards.

I have to get 4 packages ready and take them to the P.O.

I need to do a few loads of laundry to get totally caught up again, including my bedroom curtains and the dog beds.

Staple the carpet pad back right outside of Ro's room so I can put the tools in my room away.

Hang her name on her wall.

And I need to pick a room to start the first semi-annual declutter of the year (the other big declutter is xmas).

Oh, and not on a decluttering or cleaning note, I need to take the kids to the homeschool hangout for a new HWOT for D. And we need to go to the Y. So I can be buff and all.

Hello? Telling us that 'Getting waxed. Ouch' is part of your day begs the question, "What are you getting waxed?"

Today I organized a bunch of hsing stuff and vaccummed. I didn't actually declutter along the way, but I did find about 4 things that i put in the goodwill box. It's something. Plus my house is quite tidy right now.

I did a bunch if laundry today and had the kids put their stuff away because we are having a birthday cookout (in the rain, I think) for my father on Sunday. Saturday, I am going with my grandmother, mother and sisters to a luncheon my mother arranged.

Laurie, I wanna know too....

And as far as decluttering? I worked on a lot. I drove a wooden kitchen set, accessories and an ironing board/line drying rack (child ones) to Ticiamama today...we met at a store between where both of us are/her hotel. I decluttered and made money towards, sigh, dh's first ticket since he was a teenager....

LOL, Laurie and Denise. I had my eyebrows and lip waxed.

There is no way I'd ever get my pubes done. my eyebrows and lip have me in tears every time, but yet I keep going back.

Well, I finally tackled that closet. YIPPIE!!! You know, it took me all of 20 minutes. I don't know why I kept putting it off. I through away about 1/2 a bag of junk and am donating 1 lg garbage back to good will.

Now all that is left of the house is the boys' rooms. Neither of those are that bad.

But there is the garage. I need dh to do that with me (cuz it's mostly his stuff messing it up)

LOL, Suzie! Actually I think eyebrows and lip are way more painful than pubes. I've had it all done . Oh, and armpits! OUCH! LOL! Yes, I had my armpits waxed once. NEVER. AGAIN.

Yesterday I finally did get to the oiling of the upstairs, third coat. Yippee! Other than that I just kept up with laundry and dishes. Jake was sick...and to illustrate, I set him up with Little Bear videos to watch at the new house while I did the floors. He watched them, we ate lunch, I went to finish upstairs and he got into the brown sugar we use in his enzyme mixture and spread it all across the (unfinished wood) floors, into the bedroom, got it on their new, uncovered mattress (!!!) and all over a sleeping bag (thank goodness he was not using K's new wool comforter and duvet cover, is all I have to say). So I cleaned him up in the tub and went to wipe off the oil while he soaked, and then he got out and got the plywood all wet because he did not understand we were using my yoga blanket for a towel.

Sigh. Just a snippet of a day in the life of a mom with a 5 1/2 year old with autism. Really he is very very good, but in some areas it is like having a permatoddler.

Today we're working on the new house, finally, hopefully, getting the bathroom squared away (install tub surround, including much structural work needed, prepare and tile floor). I hope to be back to decluttering in full force on Monday! I'm so behind...my office is a disaster area and nothing is packed for the move.

I've got to take DS to Taekwondo and do my grocery shopping. In between that, I am going to try and get some sewing done and reduce my fabric pile. I organized my closet this week and stored all my fat clothes. I need to hit the kids closet next.
