My plans:

*order the whole house air purifier that we need badly

*drive to hardware store to grab a china bristle brush for the floors and some rags

*head over to the new house w/jake and do a second coat on the staircase/living room area and prep the entryway/kitchen

*clean out the kitchen in preparation for coating its floor

*go jump in the creek with jake! :-)

I might come back here and on the decluttering end of things, get to those kids' toys that I didn't get to yesterday.

I also might, if there is time, do a first coat of oil in the kitchen and entryway so it can dry tonight...so M can get in there and work on the bathroom tomorrow, I don't want to impede that.

-count my blessings
-get ds6 out to bus
-enjoy 2 younger boys
-sew a shirt for a customer (as I get to it today, maybe not all of it today)
-watch a friend clear my flower beds and herb garden, it gives me terrible heart burn to bend over (besides being impossible) and we traded taxes for flowers this year
-pare down my clothes and DS2 drawers to somehow find room for baby clothes
-dust, vacuum, mop house (it is Friday after all and I usually do my weekly home blessing Have been doing flylady for 18 months and it shows)

let's see..plans:
Clean stairs off..lots of clutter and need to vacuum them
Organize shoes that are inside the door and distribute them back to where they belong
Laundry day so that will be all day
Need to get in kids room and pull out clothes not being used and try to sell some of them here, or possibly donate them.
Find other clutter spots and clear them
clean upstairs bathrooms and vacuum upstairs rooms

Weekend projects are all indoors too as it's supposed to rain. I wish I could hit some garage sales but I'm too broke

My day was completely derailed. My mom called me and we went garage saling. It was fun, but ended up taking all of my day when the boys were at school. I achieved absolutely nothing around the house.

I cleaned out our hall cubbies. It's this 4 space one:

http://www.communityplaythings.co.uk/c/lockers/A75.htm

I got it for $5 a few years ago at a school rummage sale.

Trust me when I tell you it was a wreck. Overflowing.

I filled a very large cardboard box with outgrown mittens and gloves, and old scarves nobody has been wearing. I even managed to take it to GoodWill. I was babysitting my 10 mos old nephew today and he was amazing. He slept a bit so I could load my car and was happy as a clam while I ran it all to donation. I feel really thrilled to have done this today. It had been weighing on me heavily.

The cubby looks so nice. I put our spring jackets in there, baseball mitts, mud boots --and we're ready for spring now!

Yeah, I'm having cubby envy. We keep our mittens and gloves in one of those over-the-door shoe holder thingies. And I did actually weed through it last week when I started the hall closet. Can't rightly say it's finished yet.

I took the old washing machine (minus the parts I stripped for Meg) and a few other completely unsalvageable things (broken baseboard, etc) to the landfill today. I also dropped off a few bags at the Goodwill.

The freecycler who's taken all week to pick up one freaking table should be out front getting it by now, but the dogs haven't said anything, so I'm not sure she's come.

I decluttered the heck out of my garden weeds in a couple of beds. I'm dividing a bunch of the perennials to share this week, too. Even gardens can get overcrowded and cluttery looking.

I know, I had serious heart palpitations when I saw it. There were 4 of them and I had to beg one woman with a home day care to let me have one. I was sweating when I paid for it. Crazy, I know. lol But i could not believe my luck. It's not perfect-- it's scratched etc., and we had to add hooks, but we love it. It helps so much.

I am having total cubby envy as well! I just cleaned out our "mud room" today...actually it is a hallway/foyer, really. I put a wooden bench that the owners had on the porch, and hooks, and it works okay but it's hard to see where one person's things start and the other's end.

And ours was a post-winter disaster area too! I finally boxed up the winter gear (some needed a good washing first) and did the same thing: out came softball gear, spring/rain jackets (though we still need winter parkas some days up here!), and mud boots. It feels so springlike today, it's wonderful! My living room is full of veggie and flower starts...the mittens are out of sight...yay!!!
