OKay only two people responded to my question : DO you want to focus on one room at a time or do you like doing a chore from each room? I got one of each answer, so today I thought we could just concentrate on one room +daily stuff, and see if I can get more responses by trying it both ways.
I think we should concentrate on the Master bedroom, I know it is not the heart of the home, but it is the heart of your own thoughts (I know I have been there recently)
Okay Ready Set Go
Master Bedroom:
--- Dust off your fan (I use the vacumn it helps if you have allergies and who wants to breathe in dust while they are trying to clean)
--- remove your sheets and take them and any dirty laundry to the laundry room
--- Pull everything out from under your bed and put it away or at least in the appropriate rooms
--- Go through your closet and get rid of unwanted clothes and straighten up your shoes (I know we ladies have a TON or TWO of shoes)
--- finish dusting and then vacumn (It doesn't have to be a perfect job, just enough so you can get the major dust out)
--- make your bed (hopefully you have extra sheets)
Daily chores need to be done as well:
Laundry room:
--- start a load of laundry (preferably sheets if you don't have spares) make sure it gets to the dryer sometime today
Kitchen:
--- empty dishwasher
--- fill dishwasher (don't forget to look around the house for dirty dishes)
Okay well my bed is made but I have lots of dishes to put away!
Good Luck All!!!!!

I forgot to put in the list you have to put away your clean laundry today!!!!
Some helpful hints: (although everyone has to find their own niche)
I put the laundry on the couch and put it into five piles
baby clothes
5.5yo clothes
DH clothes
my clothes and
towels, sheets, etc...
I do not fold it in the Living room
I then put my clothes away first (I take care of me first)
then I leave DH clothes for him when he gets home from work (I know some of you might not want to do that, but it works for me because I was tired of folding his t-shirts and putting them away in a drawer that everything was pulled out of)
I then put the babies clothes away in his room
Then I have my 5.5yo help me with his clothes (he is starting his chore adventures) he hangs up his shirts and puts away his undies, while I fold his shorts, pants, and jammies. It gives us 5-10 minutes TOGETHER, and he loves it even if we are doing something he doesn't love.
Well I hope that helps some, but don't forget to put them away today!!!
I actually (gasp!) got all my laundry put away yesterday except diapers which are in the dryer. I will be working in the master bedroom today; thanks for the shoes-cleaning challenge! My computer is wonky and I can't post pics, but I'm off to do it as soon as I check the weather.
I got SOOO much done yesterday, thanks to you guys! My house is really (more or less) totally clean; just have to vacuum and mop.
Love,
Gretchen
First, I want to say thank you so much for doing this. It helps keep me accountable
Secondly, sorry I didn't give my feedback yesterday. I was really busy doing all that was on that list Anyway, I prefer to do one day at a time as well.
Off to start today's list!

I just read over today's list, and I did everything on there on Sunday. I didn't finish yesterday's list, though, so I'm going to focus on that today as well as clean my bathrooms.
Just wanted to update that I did everything on the list today, plus the ceiling fan in the kids' room, vacuumed the whole house and mopped the kitchen floor! I actually got to sit down and watch part of a "grownup" movie while the kids are napping...instead of running around like a maniac trying to get stuff done.
Also got a whole trashbag full of clothes/shoes to drop off at the local Goodwill.
I'm feeling pretty proud of myself!
Love,
Gretchen

Note to self:
Do things in the order Judi suggests. Making the bed with fresh clean sheets and THEN dusting the fan that's over the bed (even when using a generous dose of Pledge Clean & something) makes for a bed that's showered with clumpy dust.
